About me
My name is Bente Huntley and I am a Cree Metis from Muskoday First Nation. I have three children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. I am so happy to be a chapan. In my childhood I was very fortunate to listen to many stories from my great grandfather and my granny, both of whom lived with us. That led me to pursue my education in Renewable Resources , specifically plants, and storytelling. For over 25 years I also taught at SUNTEP Prince Albert and obtained my Masters in Education with a project on plants and storytelling. I currently sit on the SRSD Elder's Advisory Board, Muskoday First Nation's Elder's executive, The MFNCommunity School Education Authority. And I am basically technologically illiterate so I don"t do any of that sort of stuff. I love listening to and telling stories and taking people, especially children, out on the land. Tiniki
