What would it take to create a bold new post-secondary environmental education program in British Columbia—one responsive to climate crises, social inequities, rising mental health challenges, and the urgent need for educational transformation? This interactive outdoor session invites leaders, educators, researchers, and community partners to imagine a transformative environmental education program model grounded in eco-social justice, land-centred, and experiential learning. Drawing from my doctoral research on land-guided education for collective flourishing, participants will explore the Three Tributaries Framework, weaving together co-liberation, land relations, and wellness for program design. Together, we will explore immersive, embodied, place and community-responsive program development, as we generate ideas, identify barriers and opportunities, and co-design pathways for training future educators and leaders to bring outdoor learning into diverse post-secondary contexts.
