Welcome to the 2026 Outdoor Learning Leadership Conference
Friday October 30, 2026 3:15pm - 4:30pm MDT
As climate change reshapes outdoor learning, educators face rising concerns around allergies, asthma, invasive species, ticks, air quality, and shifting weather. This session explores how to respond with clarity and confidence while keeping outdoor learning open, safe, and inviting. Through whole‑group and small‑group collaboration, participants will examine effective messaging, policy development, and implementation strategies that inform without creating fear. We will explore practical tools for climate‑responsive planning and communication, alongside land‑based approaches that strengthen connection and resilience. This workshop supports educators in navigating risk while ensuring students continue to learn with the land in meaningful ways.
