This session supports school and system leaders in moving outdoor learning from isolated practice to a sustainable, school- and district-wide approach. Drawing on experience leading a whole-school shift and organizing the Let's Lead Outdoor Learning Conference, participants will explore practical strategies to build staff confidence, align outdoor learning with literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing priorities, and embed it into school improvement planning. Designed for leaders in the early stages of implementation, the session addresses common barriers such as risk perception, time constraints, and staff readiness. Through real-world examples, collaborative dialogue, and structured planning time, leaders will leave with a clear, adaptable framework to foster a culture of “yes” and confidently initiate or scale outdoor learning within their context while supporting equity, inclusion, and student engagement.
