Welcome to the 2026 Outdoor Learning Leadership Conference
Friday October 30, 2026 10:45am - 12:00pm MDT
What does it actually mean to “learn with the land”—and how can this look in real school and district contexts? In this interactive outdoor session, participants will experience four simple, repeatable nature routines—sit spot, nature walk, nature journaling, and circle—and explore how these connect to the Spiral of Inquiry. Grounded in a place-based and inclusive approach, this session highlights how small, consistent practices can shift teaching and learning over time. Together, we’ll examine how leaders can support staff in getting started, building confidence, and embedding outdoor learning into everyday routines. Leaders will leave with practical strategies, adaptable frameworks, and a clearer understanding of how to scale outdoor learning across classrooms and schools.
