About me
Dr. Cameron McCuaig is a Canadian educator, French Immersion school principal, and creator of the Web of Rights, a framework that helps schools move from compliance-focused practices toward learning communities grounded in dignity, student voice, safety, and shared responsibility. With more than two decades of experience in education, Cam has worked across classrooms, school leadership, professional learning, and research. He holds a Doctor of Education from Northeastern University, where his research explored student voice and democratic schooling in Ontario public elementary schools.
His work focuses on helping educators create structures where students can participate meaningfully, navigate conflict, and learn to balance their own rights with the rights of others. A lifelong lover of nature and outdoor learning, Cam believes some of our richest opportunities for building community, responsibility, and belonging happen beyond the classroom walls.
